Senior Account Manager

Summary of Responsibilities

The Senior Account Manager oversees projects and business relationships with assigned accounts, exceeding customer’s expectations.

Essential Duties

  1. Oversee projects associated with assigned Global manufacturing accounts, including but not limited to new development, community management, internal and external communication, support and maintenance issues.
  2. Evaluate assigned account’s business processes and provide recommendations for automation and enhancements that generate additional revenue.
  3. Collaborate with business development.
  4. Collaborate with development, marketing, support, community management and QA to ensure the successful launch and acceptable performance of solutions.
  5. Identify revenue opportunities within assigned accounts and their community through communications, programs and other activities as needed, collaborating with marketing, community management, business development and support.
  6. Act as liaison for internal and external communications with assigned accounts. Manage ongoing conference calls and ensure a positive relationship with assigned accounts. Provide regular status reports and manage task lists on assigned accounts progress for all project areas.
  7. Manage projects using defined project management tools and communication vehicles.
  8. Facilitate enhancements to communications, tools, capabilities and product lines.
  9. Participate in cross functional groups to establish marketing campaigns, product direction and productive solutions.
  10. Ensure reporting and communications is frequent and bi-directional.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements

  1. A bachelor's degree in business or equivalent and five to seven years of proven success in high-tech account management.
  2. Two to five years of experience as an account manager, product manager or project leader in an online commerce or supply chain venue.
  3. Two to five years in a sales or sales support role in online commerce.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.

Preferred Education

1.      MBA or equivalent.

 

Physical and Environmental

The Senior Account Manager will require frequent visit to customer locations that end up requiring physical inspection.  Physical requirements include:

§  Occasional light lifting of 25 pounds or less

§  Occasional use of ladder and lifts to inspect and evaluate customer equipment

§  Awareness of potential hazards, such as nearby machinery, while in the shop
