We’re looking for a Learning & Engagement Associate!

 

What you’ll be doing:

The Learning & Engagement Associate will provide administrative support to the Learning & Engagement Department for all organization funded and station education initiatives, manage BTPM's PBS LearningMedia presence, and assistance with virtual, in-studio, and community education events (including promotion coordination). This individual will also coordinate project related materials to distribute to community organizations and schools. This position can be hybrid – a blend of remote and in-office work.

In summary, this individual will:

  • Manage station content for PBS LearningMedia including photo and video assets
  • Provide editing and proofreading support to assist in the creation of content and resources related to education projects
  • Support educational and community outreach events
  • Assist in the cultivation and development of community partnerships and initiatives
  • Handle promotional elements for department events and initiatives
  • Assist in coordinating activities of the Community Advisory Board, Educational Services Committee, and any other education advisory groups
  • Provide administrative support to the Learning & Engagement Department


What you’ll need:

  • Minimum of associate degree in English, Education, Urban Studies, Social Work, Community Development or related field or equivalent two (2) years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative capacity; education, community outreach, and/or non-profit preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience with curriculum or grant writing a plus
  • Knowledge of current educational technology practices and digital education resources
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) preferred
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or similar programs preferred

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position and starting pay will be based on education, experience and interview.  Starting range: $16 to $18/hr.
