We’re looking for an Events & Experiences Facilitator!

 

What you’ll be doing:

The Events & Experiences Facilitator will help create and expand new and existing events, activities, and experiences (in-person, virtual, on- and off-site) in order to engage BTPM’s community and expand audiences. This individual will coordinate multiple aspects of both ticketed, revenue-generating events and free, community-focused experiences. This individual will collaborate with various departments and support events & experiences in both the U.S. and Canada. This position is primarily on-site but may be hybrid – a blend of remote and in-office workIn summary, this individual will:

  • Coordinate and execute the calendar existing events and experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Securing venues and vendors in both the US and Canada,
    • In conjunction with SVP & CDO, setting ticket prices and determining which projects are fundraisers and which are free to the public,
    • Creating and monitoring event listings,
    • Managing set-up and staging for each event, both internal and off-site,
    • Booking talent and negotiating fees,
    • Managing internal calendar for all station events and experiences; communicating internal announcements accordingly.
  • Help to create, develop, and coordinate new events and experiences.
  • Stay in consistent contact with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide general event and experience support to individual stations as requested.
  • Generate ideas for potential events and experiences that could be added to BTPM’s roster of activities.

 

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum of Associate degree in philanthropic studies, communications, marketing or related field OR equivalent experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an administrative setting, event coordination/project management experience a plus
  • Experience with event/ticketing management systems (i.e. Eventbrite) and donor platforms (i.e. Patreon) a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office
  • Supportive, hospitable demeanor
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and comfortable in a public-facing role
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve swiftly and efficiently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and with a variety of people
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and adhere to deadlines
  • Highly organized with an exceptional attention to detail

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position and starting pay will be based on education, experience and interview. Starting range: $17.57 to $21.96.
