We’re looking for an
Associate Producer for WBFO!
What
you’ll be doing:
The Associate
Producer provides administrative, technical and operational support to
the Producer and WBFO staff for broadcasts and programs. This individual will
perform tasks included in pre-production,
production and post-production in alignment with the station’s expectations, programming
schedule, goals and protocols. This position can
be hybrid – a blend of remote and in-office work.
In summary, this individual will:
- Work with station staff to produce new and
existing local programs
- Assist with the production of audio and video
for daily shows
- Assist with the booking and scheduling of
guests
- Assist with producing reporter beat segments
- Perform post-mortems
- Assist with recording and editing of programs
for air, including taped interviews; checks audio levels, overall quality, and
provide timecode notes
- Operate on-air control board
- May host segments for on-air broadcast, both
live and pre-recorded, as assigned
What
you’ll need:
- Minimum of Bachelor degree in
broadcasting, journalism, media, related field or comparable four (4) years of
experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of
experience involved in production for a variety of digital and broadcast
projects
- Experience in newsgathering and
research; reporting experience a plus
- Strong computer skills;
proficiency with various programs including MS Office and Adobe for audio and
video editing
- Technical
aptitude for or experience in operating on-air control board, systems, and
related functions
- Flexible, helpful attitude; Willing
to learn and adapt to various assignments/tasks
- Punctual
- Superior written and verbal
communication skills
- Comfortable with public speaking
in various settings
- Knowledge of FCC regulations and
standards

Salary
and Benefits:
This is a full-time, non-exempt
hourly position and starting pay will be based on education, experience and
interview. Starting range: $19.33 to $24.16/hr.
