We’re looking for an
Engineering Associate!
What
you’ll be doing:
The Engineering Associate
assists with daily radio broadcast IT operations for our family of stations
which includes automation, playlist
continuity, scheduling, troubleshooting, app integrations and operator
training. This individual will also assist with equipment installation, removal
and configuration, enhanced HD Radio features and AoIP. This position can be hybrid – a blend
of remote and in-office work. In summary, this
individual will:
- Assist with various departmental functions including but not limited
to:
- Radio automation scheduling, updating, operation, troubleshooting and
maintenance
- Radio IT functionality
- Integration, operations and maintenance of radio broadcast apps
- Installation & configuration of broadcast IT systems and audio
equipment
- Train and mentor hosts, production associates, and applicable staff
on radio technical operations and automation
- Respond and apply corrective actions to programmatic disruptions
associated with automation and live assist
- Follow FCC regulations and best practices
What
you’ll need:
- Associate
degree or certificate in broadcasting, engineering or related technical field
or relevant industry/military work experience
- Two (2)
years of experience in broadcast technical operations, preferably in public
media sector; radio automation and/or IT experience a plus (internship
experience also accepted)
- Demonstrated
technical aptitude to utilize various broadcasting systems and equipment
- Familiarity
with relevant database and scheduling operations; understanding of modern radio
on-air processes and
understanding of radio automation and traffic systems
- Excellent
organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated
experience with system troubleshooting and addressing matters of urgency
- Demonstrated
proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office

Salary
and Benefits:
This is a full-time, non-exempt
hourly position and starting pay will be based on education, experience and
interview. Starting range: $17.57 to $21.96/hr.
