Director of Lending Operations

Alternatives Federal Credit Union is seeking a Director of Lending Operations to lead its consumer, mortgage, and small business lending areas, which are the center of our mission-critical projects. The Director will be responsible for AFCU’s strategic lending program including: business development and loan production, marketing and outreach, design and implementation of new financial products and services, portfolio management, loan policies and systems, and collaborating with the Development Director to develop key partnerships and to raise new capital. In addition to overseeing the workflow and day-to-day operations of the team, the Lending Operations Director will build strong working relationships across all teams to ensure that programmatic goals are advancing and positively impacting the defined target market of limited income and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities within the service area. With adherence to best industry practices and procedures, this position is responsible for regulatory compliance of all loans.

 

Candidates should possess a college degree and five years’ experience in lending, or an equivalent combination of experience and education, along with a solid track record of leading a diverse team. Passion and commitment to justice and equity for the underserved community is a must, as is management/supervisory experience.  Community development finance experience is preferred.  Interested applicants should submit a resume to kdemchak@alternatives.org
