We’re looking for a Copywriter/Promotions Coordinator!
What
you’ll be doing:
The Copywriter/Promotions Coordinator
collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop, write, and implement
content for print and digital marketing and communications platforms, including
email newsletters. This individual is an integral part of the Marketing &
Creative Services department to coordinate promotions for programs,
initiatives, fundraising, and events for our organization and family of
stations.
This position can
be hybrid – a blend of remote and in-office work.
In summary, this individual will:
- Write and distribute promotional and press content for Buffalo
Toronto Public Media local productions, events, and programming
- Coordinate promotional tasks based on priority levels set by VP of
Marketing & Creative Services, ensuring quality standards are being met;
facilitate cross-departmental meetings
- Write script for audio and video promotional spots for internal clients
and marketing purposes to be used on-air and on digital platforms
- Research and collaborate across the organization to develop
localized content for member and audience communications
- Write and edit high-quality short-, medium-, and long-form copy,
incorporating SEO best practices
- Provide copywriting and editing support for various marketing
campaigns, ads, and other communications for internal customers/departments
What
you’ll need:
- Bachelor
degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, related field or
comparable experience
- Demonstrated
experience in communications field (related internship or employment experience
acceptable)
- Familiarity
with marketing media such as social media, email marketing, traditional media;
working knowledge of SEO a plus
- Demonstrated
proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills; accuracy and attention to detail necessary
- Innovative,
creative team-player
- Ability to
problem-solve and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Nonprofit
experience a plus

Salary
and Benefits:
This is a full-time, non-exempt
hourly position and starting pay will be based on education, experience and
interview. Starting range: $17.50 to $21.90/hr.
