We’re looking for our next Learning & Engagement Intern!

 

What you’ll be doing:

The learning and engagement intern will support the department’s activities by participating in the preparation, organization and execution of community and school events both on- and off-site. Based on operational need, the intern may assist in the creation and development of educational materials related to our productions. Hours are flexible and work may be hybrid – a blend of remote and in-office work. 

In summary, this individual will:

·         Assist staff at internal and external community events and with project implementation.

·         Upload original WNED PBS content to PBS LearningMedia CMS.

·         Conduct database research and management.

·         Assist with general administrative tasks.

·         Attend and record community advisory board meetings as assigned.

·         Conduct online research for new and current projects.

·         Assist with distribution of education materials both digitally and in print, as appropriate.

·         Perform various ad hoc projects as assigned.

 

What you’ll need:

·         Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in a communications, marketing, journalism, or related field*

·         Familiarity and general interest in curriculum development for various grade levels and its distribution

·         Comfortable speaking with the general public and school educators

·         Computer skills including Microsoft Office or similar programs

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Creative, approachable, team-focused, and detail-oriented

*This is an unpaid internship for course credit from an accredited college/university program. Internship documentation or agreement from the school is required.
