Business Development Representative

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The objective is to identify new business opportunities within targeted verticals and companies. This is accomplished by establishing Velocitii as a potential service partner with prospect executives in Vendor Management and Customer Service. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • ·         Qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • ·         Identify responsible resources at target companies and establish contact with them
  • ·         Contacting potential clients through outbound cold calls and emails
  • ·         Work with Marketing to develop specific campaigns within target markets
  • ·         Respond in a timely manner to inbound calls, email inquiries and web leads
  • ·         Understand the Velocitii value proposition and professionally convey to a prospect creating the desire to participate in a service overview and capabilities discussion with Velocitii Sales resources
  • ·         Develop, maintain and update an accurate prospect pipeline
  • ·         Achieve targeted goals including outbound calls and qualified leads/opportunities
  • ·         Effectively research a company to understand business challenges and establish the right party contact
  • ·         Work independently and maintain a high level of productivity
  • ·         Contribute to Velocitii’s long-term business growth
  • ·         Supporting other Business Development Team members as needed
  • ·         Participating in activities needed to support the management functions of the team
  • ·         Performing other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • ·         Prior Contact Center / Business Process Outsourcing employment in an agent level, trainer, reporting, marketing or sales role
  • ·         1-2 years’ successful sales and marketing experience
  • ·         Familiar with standard measure in average attempt per lead, volume of calls/day, appointments/week, qualification of opportunities, etc.
  • ·         Exceptional active listening skills
  • ·         Excellent presentation skills – oral & written
  • ·         Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes
  • ·         Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills
  • ·         Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ·         Excellent organizational, planning, prioritization and interpersonal skills
  • ·         Ability to creatively research companies and prospects on the web
  • ·         Technology products and or healthcare experience is a plus
  • ·         Experience in a similar role (selling BPO services) with a successful track record in meeting or exceeded quota is preferred

  • ·         Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM products preferred
