We’re looking for a Digital Media Specialist!

 

What you’ll be doing:

The Digital Media Specialist is an integral contributor to the digital operations of the organization and uses a variety of technical, creative and analytical skills in media to support our family of stations.  This individual discovers and develops ways to keep websites, apps and other digital platforms valuable, dynamic resources for viewers and listeners by actively identifying, creating, and curating content.
This position can be hybrid – a blend of remote and in-office work. In summary, this individual will:

·         Provide day-to-day maintenance, functional, and technical support of wned.org and wbfo.org

·         Track, collect, and assess data analytics to evaluate content performance

·         Adapt, curate, and develop original copy and content for presentation on BTPM websites and digital platforms

·         Curate content and resources offered through public media including PBS, NPR, APT, etc.

·         Assist with app development and maintenance

 

What you’ll need:

·         Minimum of Bachelor degree in web development/design, digital media, marketing, communications, related field or comparable experience

·         Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with content management systems (Bento or Grove a plus)

·         Proficient technical knowledge of website standards, best practices, and digital trends

·         Demonstrated experience in multimedia production including writing, graphics, and visual design experience

·         Exceptional project, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects

·         Must be well-organized, creative, have exceptional attention to detail and capable of working independently

·         Understands and has demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams, following style and branding, and creating aesthetic digital design

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position and starting pay will be based on education, experience and interview. 

Starting range: $19 to $24/hr.
