Healthy Families Program Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

The Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the program and is involved in program planning, budgeting, staffing, training and program evaluation. The Program Manager is also involved in fund raising, facilitating ongoing collaboration with community and state partners and public relations. The Program Manager is responsible for supervising the Program Coordinator.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

·         Oversight of countywide Healthy Families program consisting of four sites.

·         Develops and monitors compliance with program, agency and state policies and procedures.

·         Supervision of the Program Coordinator.

·         Responsible for preparing reports for agency and funders.

·         Explores funding opportunities for program enhancement.

·         Serves on appropriate community committees as assigned by supervisor.

·         Collaborates with staff to create strategies to ensure outcome and targets are met.

·         Assists staff in supporting families to become empowered to identify strengths and set goals.

·         Performs quality assurance tasks such as reviewing records, performing staff observations, and surveying participants.

·         Responsible for staff selection and orientation as well as facilitating on going trainings.

·         Monitors staff performance.

·         Act as liaison with community agencies.

·         Provide daily support and crisis management.

·         Assists in the development of policies and procedures.

·         Works closely with all referral sources and community agencies to ensure families’ needs are being met.

·         Reviews cases on a regular basis and assures that any case which may involve “imminent harm is referred to CPS, as well as reviews and approves all CPS reports made by staff.

·         Attend conferences and trainings as required and assists in coordinating training for program staff.

·         Serves as a member of the Agency Leadership Team.

·         Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

 

TITLE OF DIRECT SUPERVISOR:  Director of Daily Operations

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in public health or human services administration or fields related to working with children and families.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in these fields with 3 years of relevant experience.

OR

less than a Bachelor’s degree but with commensurate HFA experience.


 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

·      Demonstrate ethical business practices, in conformance with all state and federal laws and regulations.

·      Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·      Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.

·      Willingness to foster agency, department and program wide cooperation and team work through use of positive/constructive communication techniques.

·      Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in regards to all records reviewed including consumer records, employee records and billing records. 

·      Proficiency and experience with PC’s and Microsoft applications.

·      Ability to analyze and interpret data and to handle problem resolution.

·      Possession of a valid NYS Driver’s license and a driver's record considered acceptable by agency and insurance carrier.

·      Continuous use of a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
