Employment Type: Full Time 40 hours a week

Salary: $19.00 an hour

About the Role:

The Financial Case Manager supports the daily administrative activities at the residence and assists clients in establishing and maintaining eligibility for financial assistance. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists residents in establishing funding, acting as liaison between Public Assistance representatives and the agency. 
  • Ensure that all residents have insurance appropriate for their needs. 
  • Organizes, files, documents, and deposits all payments made through residential services. 
  • Acts as a liaison between Residential Services and finance and various counties, etc. regarding any payment questions or concerns. 
  • Maintains and submits web invoices for Residential Services. 
  • Maintains and submits any bills received due to fees for service. 
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained and stored in accordance with agency and regulatory expectations. 
  • Advocates for and teach clients basic living skills regarding banking, budgets, financial and medical benefits programs as appropriate to the client's ability. 
  • Answers the business phone and direct calls. 
  • Maintains petty cash records, monitor resident loans and repayment contracts. 
  • Assist staff in monitoring the daily activities of residents and visitors. 
  • Maintains professional boundaries with residents. 
  • Adheres to confidentiality regulations. 
  • Enters all insurance information into Med Lab system at the time of admission. 
  • Ensure compliance with FNS agreement by collecting food stamp benefits from all residents monthly and provide receipt logs to finance office in a timely manner. 
  • Performs other responsibilities as delegated by the Clinical Supervisor or Residential Director.

 

Qualifications:

·       High School Diploma or GED, some relevant college education is preferred. 

 

EXPERIENCE: 

·       Related experience and education in chemical dependency or human services field. Experience in providing administrative support and finance support in the human services field is preferred. 

 

  • Relevant combination of education and experience will be considered

Preferred Skills:

·       Adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations including, but not limited to, those governing confidentiality, privacy, program, billing and documentation standards. All duties must be performed in accordance with CCDR's corporate compliance and ethics program. 

·       Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

·       Previous experience working with diverse populations, including low to moderate- income families. 

·       Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties. 

·       Willingness to foster agency, department and program wide cooperation and teamwork through use of positive/constructive communication techniques. 

·       Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality about all records reviewed including client records, employee records and billing records. 

·       Proficiency and experience with PC's and Microsoft applications. 

·       Ability to analyze and interpret data and to handle problem resolution. 

·       Possession of a valid driver's license and a driver's record. 

·       Continuous use of a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
