– 37.5 hours/week, work schedule: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday –
Thursday and Friday 7:00 am to 12:30 pm.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The Mobile Food Pantry (MFP) Driver will be responsible
for the safe operation of the Food Bank vehicles, transporting products,
organizing volunteers, and maintaining order and efficiency at each Mobile Food
Pantry distribution. In addition, the MFP Driver is also responsible for
performing various manual tasks associated with warehouse operations, including
packing orders, unloading deliveries, operating warehouse equipment, and
general maintenance and cleanup.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Responsible for being a representative of the
Food Bank's values and mission and facilitating Mobile Food Pantry
distributions in a respectful, non-judgmental manner. Sensitivity to the needs
of vulnerable populations and clients with the ability to work and interact well with
individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds in a culturally diverse
environment with a strong
commitment to social justice and equity.

Responsible for pulling orders from the
warehouse, loading MFP trucks, and delivering products to scheduled sites.

Inspect product donations to ensure
that safety and sanitation standards are met.
·
Commit to upholding policies, principles, and
best practices for food safety. Assist in verifying food safety standards are
met for products and packaging materials through visual inspections, product
handling, and temperature monitoring when applicable.
·
Ensure all required compliance and food safety
documentation is complete, accurate, and current.
·
Understand the personal responsibility to
follow all safety policies, health rules, programs, and procedures, report all
unsafe acts, environments, or behaviors immediately, and always report safety
issues, incidents, or accidents immediately.
·
Maintains quality control of products before
distribution to the general public. Follows appropriate procedures for food
distribution, including all health and safety regulations for food handling.
·
Ensures that the Site Coordinator and
volunteers at each MFP site are properly trained in the distribution process,
with emphasis on client safety and proper food handling .
·
Maintains positive working relationships with
Site Coordinators, volunteers, donors, and clients, while acting as a leader,
and making decisions that are in the best interest of the Food Bank.
·
Maintains client and volunteer sign-in sheets
and documents program statistics for all distributions.
·
Safely operates the Food Bank vehicle (s) while
maintaining optimal operating levels, including oil, gas, fluid levels battery,
tires, etc., and reports any problems to their supervisor.
·
Completes required paperwork such as daily
mileage logs, trip logs, fuel logs, temperature logs, and safety checks along
with all required pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and reports all safety
issues and/or repairs required.
·
Ensures all personal licenses, certifications,
and medical cards stay in accordance/compliance with FBST, State, and Federal
requirements.
·
Operates motorized forklift, pallet jacks, and
other equipment within the warehouse safely, efficiently, and in accordance
with FBST policies and OSHA regulations.
·
Responsible for daily sanitation of truck and
food distribution tables and bays and keeping trucks and equipment clean and
neat.
·
Performs various general warehouse duties,
including packing customer orders, unloading deliveries, re-packing food
products, and general maintenance duties in the warehouse, office, common
areas, and grounds.
·
Work with other team members in a cooperative
and supportive way. For example, providing assistance and fill-in coverage for
other positions.
·
Assists in the daily operation of the warehouse
and other related activities as required.
·
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
·
High School Diploma or
equivalent preferred.
·
Minimum 1-year experience
working in a warehouse and/or product distribution center as a driver and/or
general warehouse worker is required.
·
Working with volunteer
groups or non-profit organizations is a plus.
·
CDL
Class B with air brakes required, CDL Class A license preferred.
·
Certified
forklift operator or willing to obtain certification.
·
ServSafe
certified or willing to become certified.
·
Occasionally
lift, carry or move objects weighing up to 50lbs.
·
Pass alcohol and drug testing in accordance with the
Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
