Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes is growing and seeking a

Supervised Visitation Caseworker to join our Team.

Supervised Visitation Caseworker

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:  

Under the direction of the Supervised Visitation Coordinator, provide supervised visitation to families involved in the child welfare system, in accordance with contract provisions.

Salary: $15.75 an hour dependent on education and experience.

Schedule: Part-time

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Case Management Services

·         As assigned by the Coordinator of the Supervised Visitation Program work collaboratively with and the contractor to develop visitation plans (including but not limited to frequency, location, degree of supervision and participants).

·         Prior review of the visitation plan and consultation with all those participating in the visitation, thereby actively engaged in promoting the well-being of the child.

·         Provide necessary supervision and coaching or interactions of all adults/children with the child and staff member.

·         Record detailed observations concerning the interactions of all adults/children with the child and staff members.

·         Report immediately to the Coordinator of the Supervised Visitation Program and/or the DSS

·         Caseworker any concerns of neglect or abuse presented during the supervised visitation.

·         Provide contractor with documentation of services rendered.

·         Upon request attending service plan reviews and/or providing in-court testimony.

 

Supports Mission of the Agency

·         Maintain records and reports necessary for good casework practice.

·         Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement efforts for the program and for the agency.

·         Complete required agency and program reports in a timely manner.

·         Perform other related duties as required/requested.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Associates Degree with 2 years of related experience; or Family
Development Training & Credentialing (FDC) Program.

EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience in human services preferred.
Knowledge of family and child welfare delivery systems, current parenting skills, and child development.

Our hiring process and timeline:

·         Applications will be reviewed regularly until the position is filled.

·         Phone screenings will be conducted with qualified candidates.

·         In-person one-hour interviews will be conducted with candidates who advance after the phone screening.

·         In-person interviews are typically with 2-4 Interviewers.
