Registration Billing Clerk

Position Title:  Registration Billing Clerk

Salary: $17/hr

Schedule: Full time/37.5 hours per week

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

The work involves responsibility for the independent performance of routine clerical work maintaining financial accounts and records including those of a computerized nature.  Responsible for independently processing client financial data including insurance cards, verification, and data entry into the EMR, obtaining client consents, as well as routine maintenance of clients financial account status.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of office experience.

Detail oriented

Self-motivated

Capable of multi-tasking

The ability to interact in a confidential and professional manner. 

Computer skills including working knowledge of Word and Excel

Cerner/Netsmart, or Other EMR experience a plus

  • Demonstrate ethical business practices, in conformance with all state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
  • Willingness to foster agency, department and program wide cooperation and teamwork through use of positive/constructive communication techniques.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding all records reviewed including consumer records, employee records and billing records.
  • Proficiency and experience with PC’s and Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and to handle problem resolution.
  • Possession of a valid NYS Driver’s license and a driver's record considered acceptable by agency and insurance carrier.
  • Continuous use of a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle.

Our hiring process and timeline:
