We’re looking for a Receptionist/Accounting Associate!

 

What you’ll be doing:

Required work schedule is Monday through Friday 12:30PM to 5PM. 


The Receptionist/Accounting Associate is a dual role that provides support to front desk operations as well as finance with various clerical functions such as answering phones, welcoming visitors, billing, recording receipts, account reconciliation, running reports, and data entry. In summary, this individual will:

  • Answer incoming calls in a courteous and welcoming manner; direct calls as appropriate
  • Greet station visitors, follow visitor protocol, direct visitors and notify appropriate staff of visitor arrival
  • Assist with various clerical functions such as ordering supplies, processing mail, internal station announcements, etc.
  • Process contracts and accounts receivable for underwriting including, but not limited to: logging contracts, generating and distributing invoices, generating monthly statements, etc.
  • Prepare invoices and record receipts for ancillary revenue streams, as requested
  • Prepare journal entry batches related to cash receipts
  • Reconcile schedules and sub-ledgers to general ledger


What you’ll need:

  • Minimum of Associate degree in business, accounting, finance, related field or comparable experience
  • Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable tasks including data entry
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills, friendly, ability to remain calm in stressful situations (i.e. irate callers)
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Understands confidentiality and data privacy practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with accounting software preferred, specifically nonprofit accounting practices
  • Prompt, attentive to schedule
  • Ability to work independently

Salary and Benefits:

This is a part-time, non-exempt position and starting pay will be based on education, experience and interview.  This position is structured with a pay range between $16.00-$18.00 per hour.
