Job Posting: Community Support Specialist
Location: Canandaigua, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time, 35 hours per week.
Salary: $19.00-20.00/hour.

About the Role:
The Community Support Specialist’s primary function is to connect participants in the Finger Lakes Treatment Court to resources in the community to create and enhance participants’ recovery and stability through community involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess participants’ community needs and interests.
- Assist participants in connecting with community resources.
- Serve as a liaison between community agencies and Finger Lakes Treatment Court.
- Collaborate with other agencies, as needed, to create opportunities for community engagement.
- Work with court Peer Advocates on utilization of the Recovery Capital Index Tool to appropriately connect participants to areas of need.
- Transport participants to referrals, meetings, or community services as needed.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Treatment Court Coordinator of participants’ progress.
- Provide support to Finger Lakes Treatment Court.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least three years of work experience in mental health or substance use support.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding all records reviewed including consumer records, employee records and billing records.
- Proficiency and experience with PC’s and Microsoft applications.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and to handle problem resolution.
